Midnight Run,…………………………..Sat.21st.June.

Meet Texaco service station, Spawell.

Time 9.30pm. to depart 10pm. sharp.

Route plan as follows:
Using the drop off system, we will take the N81 to Bunclody, and then up to Mt.Leinster, to watch the sun set. .....11pm / 11.30pm.  Approx.

After that we will go on to Ballinesker, off the R472. to watch the sun rise again, over the Irish sea....4.15am / 4.30am.  Approx.

Points to Note

Bring a flask , tea/coffee/snacks, etc. and a camping chair. If you do not have a camping chair, try putting your thumb on the ground and sitting on your elbow - worth practicing before the night. If anybody has an inflatable BBQ bring it along.

It gets cold at night, so do come prepared. A one piece suit can be very cosy in the early hours.

All going well, we should be home for breakfast. [ Fathers Day ]

It's not often that one gets a chance to see the sun set, and rise again, within a few hours, so don't miss this opportunity!.

IMPORTANT; this event will only take place if the weather is favourable, ie, clear sky's and no rain.

Look forward to seeing some of you "Night Owl's"...or... "Night Prowler's" , come and  watch the "Dawning of the Day"
